Bruce Springsteen has signed with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) to exclusively administer his entire catalog of songs and future projects, the first time a single publisher will represent his entire catalog worldwide.

With the agreement, UMPG will be responsible for developing creative and commercial opportunities for all 18 studio albums, which from 1973. when he released his first studio album “Greetings from Asbury Park“ garnered 20 Grammys, several BRIT awards, Golden Globe awards, MTV Video Music awards and many others. Maybe his favourite acknowledgement is academy award Oscar for Best Original Song in 1994 for „Streets of Philadelphia“ (Philadelphia soundtrack).

Along with his own recordings, Springsteen’s work has often been covered by other acclaimed artists, Natalie Cole’s “Pink Cadillac,” Joan Jett’s “Light of Day,” Mary J. Blige’s “American Skin (41 Shots),” Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s “Blinded by the Light,” The Pointer Sisters’ “Fire,” Patti Smith’s “Because the Night,” etc.

Springsteen even after 40 years on the scene is going forward. Springsteen’s memoir Born to Run and its companion album Chapter and Verse were released in September 2016. Born to Run will be issued in paperback this September.

And this fall Bruce prepares something special – Springsteen on Broadway – solo shows in Walter Kerr theatre with 960 seats which is probably the smallest venue he has played in the last 40 years. Shows start October 3rd, a what can audience expect, The Boss says: “ My show is just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung. It loosely follows the arc of my life and my work. All of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal to provide an entertaining evening and to communicate something of value.“
