British indie-pop band Metronomy, led by Joseph Mount, has released these days their fourth studio album called “Love Letters” with ten songs. Critics generally agree that the album is sonically quite away from the predecessor “The English Riviera”, which has won a nomination for the Mercury Prize, but the changes, are, judging by the reviews, more than positive.

“Love Letters… certainly rings the changes impressively. It’s Metronomy’s best work to date.”
 – The Independent

“‘Love Letters’ is something different again, influenced predominantly by the 60s and 70s, psychedelia and Sly Stone… Metronomy may have left the English Riviera but where they’ve landed now is somewhere only they could find”
